THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
The character of our children tomorrow
depends on what is put into their hearts today.

THIS WEEK...

Congratulations to President Dennis LeBlanc and his officers and directors for a great year.  We commend you and thank you for your service to our club, our community and our children!!!!!

Welcome Aboard – Larry Roy and his slate of officers and directors!  We look forward to a great year with you guys and pledge our continued support!

The Installation Banquet went very well. Congrats to Dennis and his committee! Silent Auction netted $416 for our Administrative Account.  Great job, everyone!  It was very nice to have Audrey Allen sitting as a Kiwanian instead of working behind the scenes.  Of course, I’m sure she prepared the delicious meal prior to her sitting down with us.  Great food!  Thanks!  Congrats to Steve Comeaux who attained perfect attendance this year.  Also a big thank you to Lt. Gov.  Philip deMahy, who installed our officers at the banquet.

Highway cleanup was a big success due to the number of Kiwanians and Key Club members who came out to work.  Its success each year is also to be credited to the organizational skills of the chair of this semi-annual event, Mr. Larry Roy.  Thanks, Larry and Sarah, for another job well done!

PEPPER FESTIVAL, PEPPER FESTIVAL, PEPPER FESTIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Next weekend!  Okay everyone, please pray for great weather for our festival.  I don’t think it’s being selfish to pray for the means to help so many children.  We have several areas that you can volunteer for the festival.  If you have not signed up or will not be at the meeting on Wednesday, please call me (Gerry 380-4300) to volunteer.  Areas that need volunteers are: Gates 10-6, beer booth 10-7, setting up on Friday afternoon (4:30-5:30) and Sunday morning (6:30-10), and Kiwanis booth 7:30 set up and 10-7).
