THIS WEEK...
Craig
Baudoin, former Kiwanian, and chef extraordinaire, was our guest speaker.
Craig told us about his new endeavor, St. John Restaurant, which will be
opening next to Dannas Bakery before the end of the year. His almost 30
years in the restaurant business and his desire to have a personal
relationship with his customers will surely make St. John Restaurant a big
success. Craig also wants to work closely with the City of St.
Martinville to promote tourism in our town.
Also a former Kiwanian,
Caroline Jean Batiste, was at our meeting this week. Caroline, who is a
teacher at St. Martinville Junior High School, would like for our club to
sponsor a Builders Club at her school. She is willing to be the advisor
and says that the Principal is onboard with the idea. AWESOME!!!!
Please check the calendar
of events for upcoming opportunities to be of service.
Carol is in charge of Pictures with Santa and her
contact numbers are: work 367-6604; cell 519-2257; and home 394-9809.
Annie is in charge of Foster Children Christmas Party and her contact
information is: 394-6239. Annie will also need assistance with gift
wrapping the Saturday before the party. Call her if you can help.
At the meeting this week,
Larry thanked the bulletin team which consists of Peggy Hardy, Marti
Harrell and Gerry LeBlanc.
Reminder that we are in the
process of collecting for the Mission Project to sponsor milk goats to a
village in Haiti. Any personal donations collected will be matched by our
club until the second week of December. Dennis and Gerry LeBlanc
presented a check for $50 to the project in thanksgiving for the health
and wellbeing of their children and grandchildren. |
