THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
The Pessimist complains about the wind,
the Optimist expects it to change
and the REALIST adjusts his sails. --Anonymous

The Sixth Object of Kiwanis: To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life.

Kiwanis Education #67:  K-Kids is a Kiwanis-sponsored service club for students in elementary schools. Each K-Kids club is a local project of its sponsoring Kiwanis club, and there is no district or International K-Kids structure. The K-Kids program was officially adopted by Kiwanis International in 1998.

This Week:  If you missed the meeting at ITC this week – we are so sorry because it was really interesting to see the factory where the modular homes are being built.  If you check in the President’s message, you’ll find more information about this.

Last week was our board meeting and the club voted to donate funds that had already been earmarked to Dad’s Symposium which was held last Saturday in Cecilia.

Next week’s guest speaker is brought to us by Jim Robb and it will be someone from Wildlife and Fisheries.  Please make every effort to attend our meetings – especially since speakers are willing to get up early and present information to us each week.

Have you invited someone to join Kiwanis lately, or even attend one of our meetings to see what Kiwanis is all about?  With the beginning of March, let us all make a concerted effort to attend more meetings; talk more about Kiwanis to your neighbors, friends, family; and get someone to join Kiwanis!  (this paid advertisement is necessarily the view of the editors)

Please check out our website at www.stmartinkiwanis.org  Not only does Marti have our weekly bulletin on the site, but check out the other interesting areas included.  You can even visit our District website and see what’s going on there.

President’s Message:
I want to thank everyone who was able to attend this past Wednesday’s meeting at the La Systems Built Home. The tour was very informative. We will have another tour but the finished product where Katrina will let us tour the Sales office (brick) located in the rear and the one in the front of the building. Thanks to Elaine and Larry for arranging this field trip.
Next week, March 5th, Jim Robb has arranged for Lt. Darryl Moore with Wildlife and Fisheries, to be our speaker.

I also want to thank all the Kiwanians who work so hard to get us interesting speakers. My hat is off to you.
