THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Better to do a kindness near home than go far away to burn incense.—Chinese Proverb

The Fifth Object of Kiwanis:  To provide, through Kiwanis clubs, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build better communities.

Kiwanis Education #61:   Kiwanis Asia-Pacific is composed of the seven districts and non-districted areas of Asia and the Western Pacific: the Japan, Korea, Republic of China, Philippine Luzon, Philippine South, New Zealand-South Pacific, and Australia districts, the Malaysia district in formation, and areas from Sri Lanka to Tahiti. Kiwanis Asia-Pacific has 700 clubs and conducts an annual conference to elect regional officers and promote Kiwanis goals and training.

This Week:  First of all, let me apologize for last week.  Mea Coulpa, Mea Coulpa! I could not get my act together about Kiwanis bulletin.  So sorry.  And there were such good things to tell you …

LAST WEEK:   Both Paul and Carol bragged on having new grandchildren – Paul’s being Addison Grace Boudreaux and Carol’s being Foster Davis Lagarde.  All involved are doing well!  Congrats to the parents and grandparents.  Jean is collecting canned goods for the New Start Center.  Please try to bring your canned goods next week.  Our sympathy to Tommy Romero and his wife on the loss of his father in law – Jeff deBlanc. We had a great guest speaker, Philip Renoux, Physical Therapist, who had some interesting advice and did free therapy after the meeting. Dolores Gaudin, prospective new member, was with us at the meeting and was able to get advice also from Mr. Renoux.

Continuing on this week:  Our weekend and next week will be full of opportunities for you to volunteer
“… to change the world, one child and one community at a  time.”
