THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK: The most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man!  -Anonymous

THE SIXTH OBJECT OF KIWANIS:   To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism, which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

KIWANIS EDUCATION #35:   All solicitations for funds by a Kiwanis club must be confined to the area in which the club functions, except by mutual agreement of clubs in a division, district, or area of solicitation. No member, club, or commercial enterprise may circularize for sale any product or service, solicit funds, or promote any program or project to Kiwanis clubs or members within a district without prior approval of the district board, or outside the district without prior approval of the International Board.

THIS WEEK:   Mr. James Trosclair was still a guest for this week.  He will be sworn in at next week’s meeting.  Although not a guest, we welcomed Mike Domingue as such.   It seems that he had been sick for quite a while, and we were not aware of that fact.  Fellow Kiwanians, if you know of someone who is ill, let us know and we can send out good wishes in the bulletin and keep them in our prayers.   Elaine had a chance at Lottery, but only won her dollar back, which she donated to IDD Salt box.  Thanks Elaine.
Please count your Kiwanis Bucks.  Elaine is anxious to give out some more mugs to new Millionaires.
So far, we have collected about $77 for the Skip-A-Meal donations.  If you would like to contribute, please contact Elaine @ 394-4805 or Peggy @394-6957.
Marti showed us the cute little booklet that will be given out to the participants in the Bike Safety project.  Kiwanis is co-sponsoring this endeavor with the Builder’s club.

TODAY'S PROGRAM:  Larry Roy, Pepper Festival Chairman, ran down his list of duties for the event.  There are still some areas that need more help.  Since this is an ALL-CLUB, ALL-IMPORTANT, fund raiser, (funds all of our projects for the whole year) please be thinking of what you can do to help and contact him @ 394-9327.

At the present time, there is still no candidate for President-Elect for ’07-’08.

  P.S. Don’t forget to call Christine @ 394-5264
if you can help on one or more days
  for Every Child a Swimmer.
