THOUGHT/QUOTE OF THE WEEK: The Beloved looks at the grandeur of our deeds less than the love with which we perform them. -St. Theresa of Avila

The Fourth Object of Kiwanis:  To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship.

Kiwanis Education:  #40:  Each Kiwanis club in good standing is entitled to two voting delegates to each International convention and three voting delegates, two of whom must be the club president and president-designate, to each district convention. An alternate for each delegate also may be elected and will assume the delegate’s duties if the delegate is unable to serve.

This Week:  A very lively meeting was what we had this week. In the absence of Larry, Jim pitched in to give us the object of the week.  Peggy Hardy won the chance at lottery, but won her dollar back.  The brag jar was in demand again this week.

The most important news for this bulletin is that the Board meeting will be held on June 28th at the home of Judy Bonhomme.

Annie reported news from Charlie Ford that the information about District Convention in August is available at www.lamisstenn.org , and we will soon be able to make reservations for that event.

There were three (3) guest speakers today.  Adrienne Morgan, Danielle Fontenette, and Laura Turpeau.  They reported on the recent mission to Goreé Island.  There were many thanks to all Kiwanians for our part in the mission, and special thanks to Audrey Allen, who stepped in at the 11th hour and purchased the remainder of the toothbrushes that were needed.  They each told us wonderful stories from their own personal experiences and also of the great success of the venture.
One main idea imparted to all present:  EACH OF US CAN DO SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE.
